Nairobi, Kenya – Pepsi Beverages Kenya has entered the travel market through a new partnership with Skyward Airlines.

The new partnership will see the soft drink company’s range of beverages offered exclusively on all Skyward flights.

The move is expected to provide Pepsi products to 26,010 passengers per month as the airline operates an average of 547 flights on 11 routes.

This agreement marks a strategic shift for Pepsi, which is now expanding beyond traditional retail outlets into the aviation sector — a market that will see more than 5.3 million domestic passengers in Kenya in 2024, according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

Passengers flying with Skyward can now enjoy Pepsi’s full portfolio of beverages, including Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, 7UP, Evervess, Sting and Aquafina.

The selection includes cola, fruity sodas, mixers, energy drinks and bottled water, covering a range of in-flight refreshment needs.

“This deal brings Pepsi into 26,000 drives every month. Whether it’s Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Sting or Aquafina, we are meeting Kenyans in the moments that matter – when they are travelling, connecting and experiencing life on the go,” said John K’Otieno, Country Manager of SBC Kenya, in a press statement seen by News 9 Kenya.

The collaboration covers both domestic and regional routes operated by Skyward Airlines, including Nairobi-Mombasa, Nairobi-Lamu, Nairobi-Eldoret and Nairobi-Dar es Salaam.

Skyward Airlines General Manager Diana Nyambura described the partnership as an added value to passengers and an extension of the airline’s service offering.

“Skyward Airlines is proud to partner with Pepsi, one of the most recognised and loved brands in the world. This partnership enhances our inflight service offering and supports our growth strategy in the regional aviation market,” said Nyambura.

The partnership reflects a shared goal between the two brands — to position Skyward as a modern, passenger-centric airline, and reinforcing Pepsi’s identity as a lifestyle brand integrated into daily and extraordinary moments, including air travel.
