Treasury CS Ukur Yatani appoints Ntoros Baari Ole Senteu as new Postbank board chair

The acting Cabinet Secretary for finance Ukur Yatani has appointed Ntoros
Baari ole Senteu, as board chair of the Kenya Post Office Savings Bank.

The appointment was mentioned in the Kenya gazette notice
number 5854, dated October 16 2019.

Mr. Ntoro, former chairperson of Ewaso Nyiro South
Development Authority, will hold the position for a period of three (3) years.

In exercise of the
powers conferred by section 5 (2) (a) of the Kenya Post Office Savings Bank
Act, I the acting Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Planning
appoints Ntoros Baari Ole Senteu to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Post Office
Savings Bank Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 16th
October, 2019. ~Gazette notice.

Before this appointment, Ntoros was the chair board of
directors at the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC).

He has served at KMC since 2017, three year term service
resulting from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s June.

Kenya Post Office Savings Bank controls the operations of Postbank
services in Kenya.

The board of directors, Kenya Post Office Savings Bank, reports
to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and has one member representation, who
is the Permanent secretary, Treasury.

The Board is responsible for the long term strategic
direction for profitable growth for Postbank while being accountable to the shareholder,
ensures compliance of law and highest standards of corporate governance and
business ethics.
