This year’s Madaraka Day celebrations takes place at State
House Nairobi.
The day is celebrated every first day of the Months of June.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to address the nation
amidst Coronavirus pandemic, with much expectations to reopening the economy.
The celebrations are unique in the sense that Kenyans are
staying home to brace the Covid-19 restrictions.
Among the much awaited from the President’s speech is how
the country will reopen its economy amidst the pandemic.
The number of infections in the country continue to surge
with the tally standing at 1,962 positive cases, with at least 474 people
recovered, as death toll rise to 64.
