Geoffrey Kamworor has won the Copenhagen half marathon race
setting a new World record of 57minutes and 59seconds, beating the previous
record of 58 minutes and 18 seconds set by Abraham Kiptum in Valencia last
year.
Feeling grateful after the win, Kimworor said, “…This is
really special for me even though the weather wasn’t conducive. He also added
that, “ I have won three World Half Marathon titles…”
According to the Daily
Nation, Kamworor is the 2015 and 2017 World Cross Country champion, who
aslo won the Ras al-Khaimah Half Marathon in 58minutes and 54seconds in 2013.
