
Nakuru is today playing host to the Boresha Biashara Kenya Roundtable Forum, a high-level event bringing together government leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and key stakeholders to chart pathways for economic transformation in the region.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (MITI), the forum serves as a strategic platform to explore business opportunities, strengthen partnerships and accelerate sustainable growth across various sectors.
Discussions at the roundtable are focusing on unlocking investment potential, supporting local enterprises and fostering innovation as a driver of long-term prosperity. Stakeholders are also examining how collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors can create jobs, enhance trade and improve competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
Speaking during the event, the Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Investments,Trade and Industry(MITI), Lee Kinyanjui noted that the investor roundtables accross the counties are catalysts for change.
“Investor roundtables in our counties are not just meetings, they are catalysts for change.By unlocking investment opportunities at the county level, we can tackle youth unemployment head on,” he said.
With Nakuru positioned as one of Kenya’s fastest-growing economic hubs, the event is expected to yield actionable strategies and partnerships that will boost not only the county’s economy but also contribute to the country’s broader development agenda.
The former Nakuru Governor further stated that unlocking investment opportunities brings forth opportunities to seize new markets and grow the existing ones leading to job creations and transformation of livelihoods.
The BoreshaBiasharaKenya initiative underscores Kenya’s commitment to creating an enabling business environment and attracting investors eager to tap into the region’s emerging opportunities.
