Indian Tech Billionaire Azim Premji is donating shares worth
530bilion rupees ($7.5billion) to his charity foundation. Premji is estimated
to have more than $ 18billion and is the second richest man in India.
Warren Buffet along with Bill and Melinda Gates started the
Giving Pledge Campaign that encourages billionaires across the globe to donate
much to charity and Premji has followed suit being the first Indian to respond
to the campaign.
The tech tycoon has given to charity a total of $21billion
through his Azim Premji Foundation over several years. Premji is the chairman of Wipro (WIT).
