Media personality Chito ndhlovu has lashed at radio
Presenter Cate Rira for being sentimental over Bhati’s song, calling her a
hypocrite.
During a show which he co-hosts with Sharon Kate Nganga on
K24TV every Sunday, Chito claims Cate is a pretender for calling Bahati’s new track,
in which the Bundox gang was featured, a trash.
Chito asked where was she when track that advocated for
violence against women was being released, and why is it that when a gospel
artist tries to be creative and collaborates with gengetone artists, they are
always criticized.
“If Cate is going to speak out against something let her be
constant about it,” said Chito.

He went ahead referring to her radio skills as mediocrity.
Cate Rira called Bahati’s song Taniua as trash in a video
that has gone viral online.
The radio presenter complained that the reason Kenyan music
industry will never grow is “because we allow mediocrity.”
She went ahead condemning at other media personalities
especially Jalang’o and Mzazi Willy Mtuva for putting a bad song on blast.
In a 1.45 minutes, video Cate asked Kenyans not to shy
away from calling out our artists when they release ‘bad’ music.
Her sentiments were met with different reactions from
Kenyans on social media.
