Naftali Kinuthia, the man responsible for hacking to death
Moi University medical student Ivy wangeci, was arraigned in an Eldoret court
on Monday April 15, 2019. The prosecution
asked the court to detain him to conclude investigations.
Naftali had been held at unknown location before his arraignment.
The court directed that the suspect be detained at Nauberi Police Station in
Eldoret and be allowed to receive medical attention at MTRH.
The case will be mentioned on apil 30, 2019.
Wangeci will be laid to rest on Thursday in Mahiga, Nyeri.
Kinuthia was arrested for the murder of Wangeci which happened
on April 9 near Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH). According to the testimony
he gave to the DCI, he resulted to killing Wangeci after she failed to reciprocate
the love and financial support he invested in her.
