K24 news anchor Anjlee Ghadhvi has died at Agha Khan
Hospital after struggling with cancer for a while.
According to the K24 website, Ghadhvi was battling lung
cancer unfortunately passing away at 1.15pm on Friday, January 10.
The journalist was first diagnosed with liver cancer in
April 2014. She underwent a liver transplant after the cancerous cells continued
recurring two years after she began chemotherapy treatment.
Unfortunately, the cancerous cells recurred in her lungs
leading to her death after years of treatment.
Kenyans and fellow journalists continue to send their
condolences to her family.
Ghadhvi has left behind her husband and two daughters aged 5
and 10.
