A woman from Navakholo, Kakamega County who gave birth to
five babies has died in a hospital in Eldoret.

 Evelyn Namukhula
complained of chest pains on Saturday night before passing away later at Moi
Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) where she had been admitted with her
newborns.

Namukhula was in the limelight in March when she delivered two
boys and three girls through Caesarean section at Kakamega General Hospital and
Kenyans came out showering her with all kinds of gifts. One of her babies
developed breathing problems that is when she was tansferred to MTRH.

The deceased has left behind a widower Herbert Wawire with
whom she bore four children in addition to the quintuplets (two of them died last week).
