Social Health Authority (SHA) appoints 82 new principal officers

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has appointed 82 new principal officers to strengthen its management team.

The appointments come after a competitive recruitment process that began on July 29, 2025.

In a statement seen by News9 Kenya, the Authority has hired principal officers in different fields to streamline the delivery of services. They include legal services, benefits management, planning and linkages registration and compliance, fund management, finance and accounts, administration, and records management.

These appointments come as the health ministry in Kenya faces a court case disputing the Kenya-America health deal over data privacy concerns.

Who has been appointed?

Those appointed to the position of Principal Officer for Legal Services are Millicent Lukasile, David Njue Fasiriano, and Archibold Nyarango, officers in charge of  Benefits Management are David Dawe Gambo and Joseph Owuor Otieno, while Supply Chain Management will be headed by Budha Peter Oko and Sosten Kibet Lelan.

On the other hand, appointed Planning and Linkages principal officers are Geoffrey Okora and Boniface Kitonyo Kamuti, Registration and Compliance (County Coordination) officers will be Geoffrey Mwangi Thiaka and Anab Shariff Mohamed, while Registration and Compliance officers will be Minnie Wanja Gitau and Faith Sitoi Tonkei

  6. Abdifatah Ali Salat
  7. Daniel Kabui Muya

  11. Emma Adikento Alyaro
  12.  Abdi Aden Mohamed
  13. Emmah Susan Akinyi Bosire

Other principal officers appointed to crucial departments

Among the 82 principal officers recruited SHA has recruited, the following will lead the crucial departments of finance, information and communication technology (ICT), and internal audits.

The officers selected to the Finance and Accounts role are Rahab Waruguru Mumbi and Amos Manani, OGW, Administration officers are Gloria Chebet Rotich and Jaldesa Amina, Human Resource and Development areSusan Wanjiku O Kafuto and Julius M Mwanzia, Christine Mwende Muli will be in charge of customer experience, while Martin Mbai Omukongolo ICT.  

Principal officers for Internal Audit are Beatrice Chemutai, Tom Obara Oboko, and Mathew Munene Gamaliel while Provider Management officers will be Jacob Mutua Kilungya and Brian Oketch.

The officer in charge of Corporate Communication  will be Florence Chepngetich, Records Management Belinda Nzula Naikuni, and Office Administrator Annastacia Nzovo.
