Nairobi, Kenya – Kenya National Police DT Sacco has sponsored the upcoming National Police Service Track and Field Championships 2026.

The Sacco contributed KSh 300,000 to support the spirit of athleticism and discipline within the National Police Service (NPS).
The sponsorship was formalised during a high-level briefing at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Tuesday, May 5, where the Inspector General of Police, Mr Douglas Kanja, MGH, CBS, OGW, welcomed the Sacco’s leadership.
Also present at the handover was the Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Administration Police Service, Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW, SS.
The Sacco delegation, led by National Vice Chairman David Kangogo and accompanied by GM Operations & Strategy Simon Tanui, presented the cheque to the tournament organising committee.
Kangogo emphasised that the Sacco’s involvement extends beyond financial support, investing in the holistic well-being and professional pride of the officers who serve the nation.
“Our contribution today is a testament to our enduring commitment to the men and women in uniform. By supporting these championships, we are not merely funding a sports event, but fostering the teamwork, physical resilience, and excellence that define the National Police Service. We take immense pride in seeing our members excel both in the line of duty and on the track,” said Kangogo.
Scheduled to take place from 26 to 27 May 2026 at the state-of-the-art Ulinzi Sports Complex, the annual championships remain a cornerstone of the NPS calendar.
The event serves as a critical scouting ground for world-class talent, bringing together elite athletes from various police formations across the country.
