Shoppers and specifically parents are
confused and divided following a new invention of a pregnant Barbie doll.
Dinglong Real Pregnant Doll Suit Mum Doll and Dress which has been making rounds on social media
lately, has sparked different reactions.
The doll has a detachable stomach
which has a small baby inside.
An irritated shopper wrote: “Think this is so
wrong. Why do little girls need to know about reproduction, let kids be kids!
“I can understand maybe getting this for your
child if you were pregnant and trying to explain to your child, but other than
that, no just nooo!”
Are we normalizing pregnancy such that
we overlook somethings? Are we taking away kid’s innocence so early?
Others feel that this could be a great
or a simpler way to use in explaining reproduction to children.
