Health CS Mutahi Kagwe warn Kenyans on tough times ahead;
Coronavirus cases increase to 172
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has send stun warning
to the public, even as Coronavirus cases surge in the country.
Addressing the public on Tuesday, CS Kagwe said Kenyans
should prepare for the worst in the coming days.
“We should prepare for the worst. This virus is already here
with us,” said the CS.
Mr. Kagwe further called on Kenyans to follow the simple
steps and measures laid by the government, including staying at home and reducing
social distance to contain the virus.
He commended members of the media for their unending efforts
and cooperation in sensitizing the public about the highly contagious disease.
The media has been at the forefront in educating the public
about Coronavirus and the protective measures that one could observe to be safe
from the virus ever since the case was first reported in the country.
The country has reported 14 new COVID-19 cases as at Tuesday, scaling
up the tally to 172, as Kisii and Mandera counties being the latest counties to
report the cases.
