Central Organization
of trade union COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has dismissed claims that
he is the president’s advisor.
“I’m just
the supporter of the president, he has eligible advisors I’m not his advisor.
“he said.
Speaking on local television station on
Wednesday night, Atwoli said that he has no personal problem with the deputy
president William Ruto.
Atwoli has been
severally speaking against the deputy president’s activity in the country
saying he’s trying to ‘outshine’ the president.
“I have said
severally that I have no problem with the DP, he requires to hire good advisors
for him to ascend to power. He is a good politician ho can go places but
requires an experienced advisor.” He said.
Political
parties in the country have been punishing defiant members with jubilee Party’
National Disciplinary on Wednesday morning hearing from charged members over
complains filed against them including missing the joint meeting conveyed by
the party on May 11 at State House Nairobi.
“Creating
two houses in one house can never work. The party fights currently are a matter
of party disciplines. Leadership is a collective responsibility.” He said.
Political
temperatures in the country seems to take a notch high as both the ruling and
opposition parties cleanse their houses and defiant members removed from
committee positions.
Members allied
to deputy president have dismissed the whip terming it as an intimidation to
the DP’s tent.
As the
