The IEBC Dispute Resolution board has ruled that Jubilee’s nominee in the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga can vie for the member of parliament seat left vacant after the death of the former MP Ken Okoth.

IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati has stated that, “the complainant is a dully registered voter .”

On the other hand, the elated Mariga thanked the commission for doing their due diligence.

This happens after the commission revealed on September 10, 2019 that Mariga’s details were missing in the voter’s register.

IEBC Returning Officer Beatrice Muli advised the football star to seek redress with the the commissions’s resolution board within seven days.

Mariga’s disputed candidature attracted reactions from different politicians across the country including Bonny Khalwale.
