Miguna Miguna back to court –will the government heed to any order issued

Miguna has moved to court seeking to get back his travel documents.

The lawyer on Friday filed a case in court seeking to bar
the government from issuing travel advisory against him.

This comes barely a month after Miguna was barred from
entering the country, following a ‘red alert’ issued to Air France that was to
lift him.

The lawyer was forced to alight moment after boarding the
flight, with the flight management citing alert order from the government of
Kenya.

The travel advisory was issued by the government against a
court order, that was issued compelling the State to facilitate the lawyer’s
re-entry in the country based on his identification through his national
identity card or his withheld Kenyan passport.

The Director of Immigration Alexander Muteshi had assured
the government commitment to facilitate Dr Miguna’s return back in the country,
but his words did not have any effect.

Miguna was deported in March 2018 after swearing in ODM
leader Raila Odinga on January 31 as the people’s president.
