Kenya’s booming construction industry is set for another major boost as Big 5 Construct Kenya returns to the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi for its 8th edition, running from November 5 to 7, 2025.

The three-day event will bring together over 150 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and is expected to attract over 9,000 industry professionals, cementing its position as the country’s largest and most influential construction exhibition.

The event comes at a time when Kenya’s construction market, valued at $20 billion, continues to show strong growth prospects, with projections of a 7.5% annual increase driven by major investments in housing, infrastructure and energy. According to the World Bank, Kenya’s economy is projected to grow by 4.5% in 2025, underscoring the sector’s resilience amid global economic headwinds.

The growth of Kenya’s construction sector is being propelled by the Vision 2030 Construction Industry Development Policy and the national housing agenda, which targets the delivery of one million housing units by 2027. Major infrastructure and energy projects such as the Nairobi–Mombasa Usahihi Expressway and the OrPower 22 Geothermal Plant are also driving demand for materials, skilled labour and innovative technologies.

Against this backdrop, Big 5 Construct Kenya serves as a crucial platform for stakeholders to network, form partnerships and explore emerging technologies shaping the country’s built environment.

“Kenya’s construction sector is gaining real momentum, fuelled by ambitious programs and nationwide housing initiatives under Vision 2030,” said Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of dmg events, the organizer of Big 5 Construct Kenya.

“The exhibition provides a meeting ground for decision-makers, innovators and suppliers to explore solutions that will shape the future of Kenya’s construction landscape.”

This year’s exhibition will feature more than 150 local and international exhibitors, including industry giants such as Jaquar, Cleopatra Group, Masa, Stanley Black & Decker, Framecad, Mapei and Mark Décor. Participating countries include India, Egypt, Germany, Italy, China and the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the event’s global scope and its role in linking Kenyan buyers to international suppliers.

Visitors will experience 12 dedicated product sectors across the exhibition floor, covering areas such as:

  • Building interiors and finishes
  • Concrete, cement and construction tools
  • Personal protection equipment (PPE)
  • Digital construction technologies
  • HVACR systems
  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) components
  • Metal, steel and aluminium products
  • Offsite and modular construction
  • Intelligent building systems
  • Solar technologies, windows, doors and façades

The event’s comprehensive display aims to meet Kenya’s evolving construction and urban development needs while promoting sustainability and technological advancement.

Alongside the exhibition, over 25 CPD-certified Big 5 Talks will be held, led by more than 45 experts from Kenya and abroad. The sessions will tackle crucial topics including project management, technology, engineering, sustainability and architecture.

These sessions not only provide valuable professional development but also foster dialogue on the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities from financing sustainable housing to integrating digital solutions in construction management.

Big 5 Construct Kenya 2025 is free to attend for all trade and industry professionals aged 18 and above, making it accessible for project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, developers and government decision-makers seeking to stay ahead in a competitive and fast-evolving market.

Big 5 Construct Kenya brings together over 9,000 industry professionals to source products and solutions from more than 150 exhibitors representing over 20 countries. The exhibition offers free CPD-accredited talks and networking opportunities for professionals across the construction value chain.

Founded in 1989, dmg events is a leading organizer of international trade shows, with a presence in over 20 countries and a portfolio of 115 events annually across sectors such as construction, energy, hospitality and design. The company attracts over 650,000 delegates each year, hosting flagship events including Big 5 Global, ADIPEC, Gastech and The Hotel Show.
