Boni Khalwale’s farmhand to be buried Monday, repeated autopsy confirms cause of death

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale’s farmhand Kizito Moi Amukune will be buried on Monday after a repeated autopsy confirmed the politician’s fighter bull killed him.

A postmortem on the deceased by Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor confirmed that the bull injured Kizito leading to his death.

Addressing the media on Saturday, February 3, Oduor said,

“The late Kizito had injuries on the side of the forehead, on the interior neck, and on the inner thigh of the left leg. The injuries were penetrative and had features including some bruising around them. They look like injuries caused by something penetrative but which was blunt and is in keeping with the horn of an animal.”

He continued to reveal that,

“We can conclude that indeed the initial autopsy was correct and it was caused by an animal rather than what was alleged that it was a knife or something like that.”

What are the politics surrounding Khalwale’s farmhand’s death?

Kizito died after he was attacked by the senator’s bull called Inasio earlier this week, leaving him with multiple injuries on the head, neck, stomach, and back according to an earlier report by Khalwale to the media.

Following his death, a critic of the senator claimed that Kizito was not killed by the bull, instead alleging that he was murdered using a knife. The allegations spread quickly on social media.

Khalwale refuted the claims saying it was a political vendetta against him.

“Let me finish with the burial. After am done, am going to deal with you politically. We will not do politics on the grave of a son of the poor. I have dealt with you before and I have defeated you. I’ll deal with you again. I am going to humiliate you politically.”

Kizito’s family expressed their displeasure at the politicising of their kin’s death, asking the government to allow them to bury their family member.

Khawale is working with the family of the deceased on funeral arrangements, and he will be buried tomorrow.
