Nairobi, Kenya The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has released new fuel prices with slight changes in petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices.

EPRA has reduced pump prices where super petrol has decreased by Ksh 5 per litre, diesel by Ksh 2 per litre, and kerosene by Ksh 4.01 per litre.

These prices will apply starting December 15, 2023 to January 14, 2024. In Nairobi, super petrol will now retail at Ksh 212.36 per litre, diesel at Ksh 201.47, and kerosene Ksh 199.05.

These prices are inclusive of 16% value added tax (VAT)in line with the Finance Act 2023.

This comes as weak demand and oversupply of fuel on the global market results in a drop in prices according to media reports. Reduced prices have not increased consumption, contributing to the drop in prices.

In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022, @EPRA_Ke has calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.^DC pic.twitter.com/k2j5gbiKX2
