An aircraft belonging to Fly 540 has crashed and landed at
Kapese airstrip in Turkana County.

According to a press statement sent to newsroom by the
carrier, the 5Y-CGH made an emergency landing at around 9.30 am.

The DASH8 300 aircraft had a suspected foreign object
strike, which led to the engine failure.

There are no causalities reported as the aircraft captain
declared an emergency and landed the plane safely.

The carrier has also issued an apology to customers, saying
that the situation will lead to delays in operations, in a matter of few days.
