Londiani Christian Academy, a school fast earning a reputation as one of Kericho County’s most inspiring centres of learning, is celebrating a remarkable victory after one of its learners emerged among the nation’s best in the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA).

At just 14, Ian Kiptoo has not only posted an impressive 7.44 out of 8 points, but also become a shining example of what the school’s nurturing environment and strong academic culture can produce.

Dreaming of becoming a medical doctor, Kiptoo exceeded expectations under the competency-based curriculum, excelling across all subjects.

A humble and grateful Kiptoo credited a larger community for his success.

“I thank God for guiding me, my teachers for believing in me, and my parents for always supporting me. I have performed well because of the people around me. I will carry these lessons forward as I work toward becoming a doctor,” he said.

As school president, Kiptoo stood out with Exceeding Expectation 1 (EE1) in English, Integrated Studies, Agriculture and Christian Religious Education, and EE2 in Kiswahili, Mathematics, Social Studies, Creative Arts and Sports, and Pre-technical Studies.

A mother’s pride

Kiptoo’s mother, Irine Korir, expressed her gratitude and joy, describing her son as a prayerful, respectful and God-fearing boy who worships at St Lwanga Catholic Church.

“Ian’s success is anchored in his love for God, his obedience to parents and teachers, and the strong bond he shares with his father, Stanley Korir. We walk this journey with him as partners,” she said.

She also acknowledged the unwavering support of teachers and the school’s management, adding that Ian has been greatly inspired by his elder sister, who graduated from Laikipia University yesterday.

Speaking during the celebrations yesterday, the Headteacher Job Langat attributed the stellar performance to the school’s ethos of discipline, teamwork, and holistic support.

“We are proud of our learners for their strong results, and particularly this exceptional achievement. Kiptoo’s success reflects the commitment of teachers, the cooperation of parents, and the learner’s own hard work,” said Mr Langat.

He noted that Londiani Christian Academy has invested heavily in facilities that align with CBC demands: a modern science laboratory, a fully equipped computer lab, a rich stock of learning materials, and expansive playfields that inspire learning beyond the classroom.

About Londiani Christian Academy

Nestled in the cool, serene landscape of Barorion, Londiani, the school offers both boarding and day options, complete with reliable morning and evening transport. With pre-school, primary, and junior secondary sections fully established, it has become a preferred choice for families seeking quality and consistency in education.

Londiani Christian Academy, which posted a strong overall score of 6.321 out of 8, says Kiptoo’s achievement marks not only personal triumph but a reflection of a school-wide culture of excellence.

School Director Engineer Benard Langat said he founded the institution with a vision to transform education in the region.

“Our goal is to prepare learners to become competent, responsible, and globally competitive individuals ready for the modern workforce,” he said.

With highly qualified and dedicated teachers, world-class facilities and an environment tailored for growth, Londiani Christian Academy continues to cement its place among Kericho’s finest institutions shaping learners who are confident, compassionate, and future-ready.
