A school principle has lost her life in a greasy road
accident which occurred along Mai Mahiu-Naivasha road on Monday.

The accident which occurred at around 5 am, involved a lorry
that was parked at Jikaze shopping center and the principal’s car, approximately 10
kilomters from Mai Mahiu town.

The principal, who is attached to Jeremiah Gitau Secondary
school, was aboard with two others (a driver and one teacher) who are now
nursing injuries at Kijabe mission hospital.

The trio was going to Naivasha town to collect KCSE exam
papers.

According to Naivasha deputy commissioner Mathioya Mbogo plans
have been laid to supply the affected schools with the exams.

‘Our officers have been dispatched to the ground to get
finer details of those involved but we have already dispatched the exams
papers,” he said.

The body of the deceased has since been moved to Naivasha
sub county hospital mortuary.

Investigations are underway as the blame goes to the track
drivers for failure to alert/caution other road users.
