Education: How to apply for University placement via KUCCPS

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement
Service (KUCCPS) has commenced the exercise of selection for the 2019 KCSE
candidates.

The exercise which started on January 6 2020, will see
students apply and revise their applications into various Universities and
Colleges.

According to KUCCPS, the exercise will end by March 4, 2020
and here are procedures for the application.

Login to the KUCCPS Student’s Portal using your KCSE Index
Number and KCSE Year –use your Birth Certificate Number/KCPE Index Number as
the Password.

Make sure you have calculated your minimum requirement points
for the programs you want to choose and have your institutions of choice in
mind.

Once you have settled on your preferred courses, you will
only be required to enter the Program codes, using the Application/Revision tab.

After confirming your codes, click submit and follow the
application fee payment instructions –for the first time pay Ksh 1,500 and for Students
revising their choices submitted in school, pay Ksh1,000

The placement processing fee should be paid after you have
selected courses.

After you have finalized your application, you will receive
an email acknowledging receipt of your application, after which KUCCPS will
communicate at a later date the next step in your placement exercise.
