A 20-year old woman by the name of Sharon hanged herself on Saturday
9 in Nyalenda Slums after her aunt Grace Auma quarreled her about buying chapati
and beans instead of cooking at home.
The police in Kisumu are investigating the suicide to find
out more on why the young woman committed the act.
Auma had set aside money for lunch only to find out her
niece had used it on ready-made chapatti and beans. When she asked Sharon about
it, she locked herself in a room and took her own life after her aunt left for
work.
Sharon’s body was taken to Jaramogi Oginga Hospital Mortuary
as the family waits for more answers on what exactly happened.
Her uncle Nicholas commented that they did not identify any strange
behaviour in the deceased before her suicide.
