Wilson Airport and Safarilink Aircraft Company are on public
scale following reports of worn runways and flight crashes.

This comes even after a Safarilink Flight 5Y-SLJ from Lamu
to Nairobi crashed on the grass at Wilson Airport after veering off the runway on
Tuesday at around 6.25pm.

The Aircraft had 10 passengers and 2 crew members on board who,
according to a press release by the company, were luckily not injured.

The Aircraft, a Cessna Caravan C208 registration 5Y-SLJ, had
a tyre burst on landing at the Airport.

Kenyans on twitter have faulted the Airport for poor runway
conditions, which they say culminates to landing accidents.

They called on the managmnt to look into issue and solve the
current situation of portholes along Airport runways.

KCAA

Safarilink Aircraft Company did not escape the blows as
Kenyans wondered what Kenya Civil Aviation Authority was doing in letting such
companies with accessioned incidents of flight crash to operate in the aviation
industry.

Safarilink should be
suspended and returned to the owned company! Asap! The lifes of my dear Kenyans
can’t be gamble by this Reckless company day after the other! KCAA must probe
investigations immediately! –Twit

And by the way there are several problems to be solved at the Wilson Airport level than dwelling on this minor tyre challenge. #safarilink pic.twitter.com/8HFi6LmOuU

Earlier in October, a Silverstone Air flight 5Y-IZO crashed
shortly after take-off at Wilson Airport. The plane had 5 crew members and 50
passengers on board, two of which were reportedly injured in the crash.

In August, a Safarilink commercial aircraft hit wildebeest
while landing at Kichwa Tembo Airstrip at the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Kenyans now want KCAA to investigate all Airports and
Aviation service delivery companies, to get to the root cause of the occasioned
runway crash.
