The East African Community has qualified for the African Cup of Nation quarter finals to be held in Egypt.
The community will be represented Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burudi.
Tanzania qualified for the first time in history since 1980 after beating Uganda 3-0 at home on Sunday.
Burundi came in on Saturday, a victory that was recorded for the first time in the country’s football history.
Kenya and Uganda had earlier qualified, however the Saturday match was just a curtain raiser to improve their points in group stages.
The African Cup of Nations finals will be held in Egypt by June this year, and with the EA community well represented, much needs to be put in mind.
Squad
This will be a much competitive event as most teams have qualified, including those attending for the first time.
Team managers need to plan for their starting XI and monitor their form to make sure they get into the competition well prepared.
In case of injuries, the bench should be full to keep the team shining.
Player motivation
A well motivated team is ready to carry the cup back to its country. If players won’t be satisfied by their coach and petty issues like allowances, the team is likely to flop.
Focus and Determination
Getting into the field will require both players and the technical bench to be focused. First win and scores will definitely lead the team to the winning course.
