Migori County Governor Okoth Obado has appeared before Lady
Justice Jessie Lessit today (Tuesday), in apre-trial murder case involving late Rongo University student Sharon
Otieno.
Obado and his co-accused Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero,
are accused of murdering the Rongo University student and her unborn baby on
the night of September 3 2018, at Owade in Rachuonyo Homa Bay County.
The trio denied the charges and were released on cash bail with
the governor issuing Sh5 million and two sureties of Sh5 million, while Mr
Obiero and Mr Oyamo had to deposit Sh1 million each or an alternative bond of
Sh2 million each, by the Court of Appeal.
The trial began 9 am.
