Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has sent a hopeful message
to Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge ahead of the INEOS 159 challenge in
Viennna, Austria.

Kipchoge is expected to run under 1:59 hours challenge
scheduled for October 12, with a two-day window running up set on October 14 in
case of bad weather conditions.

In a twit sent by Wanyama on Wednesday morning, the English
Premier League player said he has total confident in the marathoner, adding
Kipchoge is capable.

“Let me take this earliest opportunity to wish my friend and
countryman Eliud Kipchoge the best in the INEOS 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria
this weekend. I believe you, in your capability, will run that marathon in 1:59
bro.” read the twit from Wanyama.

The world record holder jetted out of the country, in a
historic flight, on Tuesday to Vienna to participate in the challenge for less
than two hours.

The marathon challenge is being sponsored by Sir Sir Jim,
owner of chemical firm INEOS.

Before departing to Vienna, the 34-year-old message to Kenya
and the whole world was simple, ‘nothing is impossible’.

“All Kenyans will be crossing fingers during the race as I
try to show to the world that everything is possible with human being. I am
ready for the challenge,” said Kipchoge at the Eldoret International Airport.

Kipchoge went through 4.3km Prater Hauptallee course as part of acclimatization after
arriving in Austria.

This is not the first time Kipchoge is challenging time, in
two years ago, he set the fastest ever unofficial marathon time of 2:00:25 on
the Monza track in Italy.

“I’m not running for world record but I will be running to
beat time. I want to inspire human being that everything is possible when it’s
tried, ” he added.a
