Kenya records 90 new Covid-19 cases as recoveries rise by 72.
The ministry projected the cases to grow by mid-August due to
increased testing capacity and mass testing.
Coronavirus cases in the country have grown to 3,305 after
108,666 sample tests since the ministry begun testing in March.
As at Friday, the
ministry recorded 90 new positive cases, raising the country’s Covid-19 tally, out
of 2,419 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Speaking during the daily coronavirus brief, Health Chief Administrative
Secretary Rashid Aman said the new cases comprise of 62 male and 28 female
patients, with the youngest patient aged 14 years and the oldest being 80
years.
The number of daily recoveries recorded was 72 raising total
coronavirus recoveries to 1,164.
However, four more people have lost their lives, raising
fatalities to 96.
