After denying the tax evasion charges against them, Keroche
bosses have been released.

Tabitha Karanja and her husband Joseph Karanja appeared in
court on Friday August 23, 2019 where the Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi
released them on Sh 5 million bond or Sh 2 million cash bail for Mr Karanja and
Sh 15 million bond or Sh 10 milion cash bail for his wife.

The Keroche directors legal representation team includes
Lawyer James Orengo and Kioko Kilokumi.

Early this week, Kilokumi represented
billionaire Humprye Kariuki in another tax evasion case amounting to Sh 41
billion.

Keroche Brewery is facing Sh 14billion tax evasion charges.

On
Wednesday, the Director of Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of the couple
for the tax arrears since 2015.
