Police
in Nakuru have nabbed one tone of bhang being transported in a canter, a week
after bhang worth Sh 8 million  was nabbed in Nairobi, Thika road.

Police
have launched investigations and the exact amount of the bhang is yet to be
identified.

The
suspect is being held at Nakuru Central Police Station.

Drug
traffickers have resorted to different dynamics of transporting their products,
with the recent one being the use of oil tankers.

The
Sh 8 million-bhang nabbed along Thika road on Friday 10, was found in a
petroleum tanker heading to Nairobi.

Kasarani
OCPD Peter Kimani confirmed the incident saying the bhang was packed in 50kg
units and the perpetrators concealed it in a compartment in the fuel tanker.

He
added the drug was intended to be distributed to Juja, Kasarani and other parts
of the city.

Cases
of drug trafficking in country have been on the rise, especially in urban
centres.
