Kenya’s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup came to an end on Friday after a 3-1 defeat to Gambia at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The Scorpions struck first through James Gomez Sinyan before Yankuba Minteh doubled their advantage. Musa Barrow sealed the result with a third goal, while Kenya’s consolation came from Rodgers Ogam, but it was not enough to alter the outcome.
The loss means the Harambee Stars will miss out on the expanded 48-team World Cup to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Despite the heartbreak, the Kasarani stadium was filled with color, passion and national pride, thanks in part to Adequate Safaris Ltd., which backed the match as one of the official supporters. The company’s logo and branding were prominently displayed inside the stadium, amplifying its presence on the big stage.
Adequate Safaris Proudly took to their official Instagram page, expressing their excitement about the match.
“Adequate Safaris in the building, Let us know where you are watching the game from,” the company stated.
