Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp eyes are shifted to Red Bull Salzburg
club in the January transfer window, with winger Takumi Minamino being his
focal point.
But what exactly has Klopp spotted in the 24-year-old, whose
release clause stands at £7.25m.
The Japan international played against Liverpool in the Champions’
League group matches this season, and has scored nine goals in 22 appearances
for Salzburg, with 11 assists.
Imminent reports show that Red Bull Salzburg are in talks with
Liverpool concerning Minamino transfer.
Liverpool spotted the winger during their Champions League clash
in October, when he scored twice in the Salzburg’s 4-3 group stage defeat by
Jurgen Klopp’s side.
During the return match on Tuesday, Minamino proved a threat
in the first half before the Austrian side lost 2-0.
BBC Sports writes, Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit
of the 24-year-old because interest in the Japan forward is increasing.
