When you interact with different kinds of people, you come across varying world views about many issues including domestic violence. Women have and are suffering. Some of them have been physically hurt brutally making headlines on television.
There are women who do not understand the damage domestic violence causes. Two young married mothers were heard telling each other how it is better that their men slap or beat them instead of arguing. They did not see any problem with that. When did they get comfortable with bodily harm from their men.
It is sad that organizations are spending money educating people about domestic violence yet their are women who encourage it and do not care.
Domestic violence is not only about physical abuse but also emotional torture. A man may not beat you but hurts you with words. it is stressful and weighs you down. You may be fine in body but psychologically you are suffering.
Therefore, there is no grounds for any woman to support physical or emotional abuse of any magnitude. Abuse is abuse whether a slap, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, or having broken ribs.
