As Kenya continues to report more cases of Covid-19,
President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged citizens to abide to the government directives
to help curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Speaking during the anticipated briefing from State House, Kenyatta
revealed how a young man from Mombasa eluded roadblocks and infected his sister
in Kathiani, Machakos County with the virus.

The president urged Kenyans in counties where the cessation of
movement regulation applies to stay where they are to prevent spreading the
virus just in case they have it and are not aware. He added that so far 50peole
in the country have succumbed to Covid-19.

During the briefing, Kenyatta said that the curfew directive and
cessation of movement in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, and Mandera are
extended for another 21 days.

Besides, there shall be cessation of movement at the Kenya-Somalia and Kenya-Tanzania borders effective today midnight for the next 30days. Only cargo vehicles will be allowed into the country. He
explained that truck drives will be tested in Kenya for Covid-19 to prevent the spread
of the virus.

Kenyatta applauded churches and mosques for adhering to the
government directive that banned mass gatherings, and using online media instead
to reach their congregations.
