Kenya
Premier League (KPL) side Sony Sugar have been ruled out of the competition.
This is
after the team failed to appear for their Wednesday much against Zoo Kericho at
the Green Kericho Stadium.
According to
KPL, this is the third time in the season Sony Sugar is failing to honour
matches by failing to turning up.
“As per the
KPL policy on failure or refusal to honour matches and also per articles 4.1.12
and 4.1.13 0f the 2019 FKF Rules and Regulations, Sony Sugar have been expelled
and all its results nullified,” said Chair Ambrose Rachier.

The
remaining league matches of the club have also been cancelled.
The Club is
second last placed with four points above Chemelil Sugar in the KPL 2019/20
table standings.
They had
been scheduled to visit Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday 24, and
later host Poster Rangers on Saturday 30.
