With over 89,000 2018 KCSE candidates already placed in
different public universities, it has emerged that some courses received no
applications.
According to Kenya Universities and College Central Placement
Service (KUCCPS), the programs that had no applicants were Theology, Social
Work and Community Development, Technology in Mechanical Ventilation and Air
Conditioning, Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts In Peace and Conflict
Studies, Bsc. Environmental Science And Resource Management, Bsc. (Natural
Products), and Bsc. (Aquatic Resources Conservation and Development With IT).
On the other hand, KUCCPS identified the following courses as
competitive medicine, nursing, dental surgery, architecture, pharmacy,
engineering, computer science, law, quantity surveying, real estate, and
information technology.
