Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has lost yet another supportive staff member at the club – the executive vice chairman Tim Lewis.

Lewis stepped down from his role after serving the Gunners for five years, acting as a middleman between Arteta and the club owners, Stan and Josh Kroenke.
According to the Sun, Lewis was crucial in the hiring of Andrea Berta, the new sporting director following the exit of Edu in November 2024.
Lewis, Edu and assistant sporting director Jason Ayto are key support figures Arteta has lost in the team’s executive board.
What are the new Arsenal board members?
The club brought in two non-executive directors from Kroenke Sports and Entertainment [KSE] in Kelly Blaha and Otto Maly, alongside long-time KSE advisor, Dave Steiner.
The Managing Director Richard Garlick joined the board as the CEO, and film producer and director, Ben Winston joined as a Non-Executive Director.
“Winston will bring diverse experience and knowledge from across finance, sport, retail, property development, media and entertainment to support the club moving forward,” read the Arsenal statement in part.
The board thanked Tim for his continued dedication and commitment to Arsenal in a period of transformational change for the club.
“He has played a pivotal role and ensured we are in a great position to continue to deliver our strategy in our ambition to win major trophies,” the statement continued in part.
As part of the club’s desire to move forward, the board said it will strengthen by adding some exciting members who will bring vast experience to the club across a wide range of professions.
Arsenal currently stands at position 2, with 9 points behind Liverpool, who have 12 points, after matches in the 2025/2026 English Premier League (EPL) season.
Arteta’s men have won three matches and lost one in the race to the EPL trophy in 2025/26.
