Kalonzo said that this group “represented WPF’s aspirations and vision for Kenya and that together we shall #KomboaKenya.”

Why Kalonzo has nothing to do with Raila

The WPF boss at the same time claimed that Raila Odinga had invited him to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM’s) 20 years celebration, maintaining that he will not honour the invite.

“Raila wrote to me a nice letter as a founder member of ODM, inviting me to his event. But I am going to reply to him and tell him that on the same date will be our WPF Party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) and so, I will not make it, but I wish him well,” said Kalonzo.

Kalonzo exuded confidence that President William Ruto will grace the ODM event as a founding member.

“I gather that President Ruto will also be invited as a founding member of the ODM party, but I will not be there. I respect my friend Raila Odinga. I have spent a sizeable chunk of my life on earth supporting him and all I can say, I have nothing on the table with him,” he explained.

What Jubilee Party officials told Kalonzo

Kalonzo a co-principal in the United Opposition movement, also announced that he will not attend the Jubilee Party’s NDC set for this Friday, September 26, 2025.

“I was with Fred Matiang’i and Jeremiah Kioni in Kajiado last Sunday for a Sunday church service and Kioni said he is not expecting other national leaders to attend their NDC. He maintained that they are doing it as a Jubilee Party because the last time we attended their NDC the matter went to court and in their pleadings, they were told they invited strangers,” Kalonzo explained.

However, Kalonzo disclosed that they will instead attend the forthcoming People’s Liberation Party (PLP’s) NDC.

“We shall attend the NDC of our sister Martha Karua because she has invited us at the event to be held at Ufungamano House. But we wish our brothers and sisters in the Jubilee Party the very best,” added Kalonzo.
