Manchester City were on Friday issued with a two-year ban
from the UEFA Champions League, but manager Pepe Guardiola is still loyal and
says he will stay.
According to BBC Sports, Guardiola’s contract is set to end
in 2021 and does not have a break clause at the end of the season.
Reports are imminent that he will still activate it at the
end of the season, should City fail to win the appeal to be presented in the
Court of Arbitration for Sports in due time.
The 49-year-old made it clear to friends that he intends to
stay at Manchester City despite the club’s ban from the Champions League.
The manager will be addressing fans for first time on
Wednesday.
City has been playing in the Champions League over decades
and during last season campaign, they were bundled out at the quarters stage.
