Manchester city were back in action on Monday night with a
glorious win against Burnley at the Etihad stadium.

Phil Foden displayed an impressive game as he broke the
deadlock with an opener in the 22nd minute to give Manchester City the lead.

Reyid Mahrez made it double in the 43rd minute before adding
another goal from the spot after City were awarded a penalty following a bad
challenge in the stoppage minutes of the first half.

Pep’s side were three goals at the break. David Silva added
another goal in the 51 minute making it four for City.

Foden sealed the game with the fifth goal in the 63rd minute
proving to Guardiola why he should be a regular start.

The 20 years old, from the academy came in as substitute
against Arsenal on Wednesday and scored. This is his first consecutive goals in
his career, having three goals in two matches.

Manchester City are now 20 points away from the league
leaders Liverpool who will be hosting Crystal palace at Anfield on Wednesday.

Liverpool have 83 points and are praying for city to lose
against Chelsea on Wednesday to be crowned champions if they win against
palace.

White lives matter
banner

A banner was seen flying in the air on top of the stadium
with the writings ” white lives matter Burnley ”

Only 9 minutes into the match a helicopter flew over the
Etihad stadium with the intimidating banner especially at this time when there
is a war against racism and the movement of black lives matter.

This followed only few minutes after all players took a knee
in solidarity with the black lives matter movement. All players also worn T-shirts
with the writings ” black lives matter” at the back.

Burnley FC made their statement at halftime saying they had
nothing to do with that banner and will work with authority to make sure that
those behind it are banned from the clubs business permanently.
